The Byke Riverstone Agro Farms was set up in 2006 as an agriculture farm in the then inaccessible and uninhabited area of Dodhani village in New Panvel. The farm is surrounded by sprawling Matheran Hills and is in the midst of a valley offering a 360-degree view of the Matheran Hills. The farm is touching and overlooking Dehrang Dam. with the onset of monsoon from July till January, a seasonal river having its origin from Matheran hills, flows along the boundary of the farm. The Winter in the region is typically colder than Mumbai. This is the ideal time for a trek to Matheran which takes about 3-4 hours to climb to the Sunset point in Matheran. Winter lasts till about mid-February and after that the weather is hot and dry. This season opens up the sky and is ideal for star gazing during the night and kite flying during the day.

The name of the farm is inspired from round rubble stones that abounds in this river bed. These stone found in the property have been used extensively in the landscape of the farm.
